Why is it when a doctor gives a patient the wrong medicine (eye drops) why is it ok?

This is something that I cannot seem to understand about some, doctors (because there are a few good ones left) how is it that they can injure a patient and that is ok but if someone else commits a crime they will have to pay for it dearly. Not a doctor though, I have had a terrible time with my eyes with eye drops that have been put into them and yet the doctors office have become angry with me how stupid is that. I didn't do it they did and all I asked is that they clean up there mess, we are now living in a very sick society and there are some people in it they think that they are untouchable. That is so sad especially when you injure someone who trust you. I have not mentioned lawsuit all I want are my eyes treated, they willing knew all of my medications as well as my eye diseases which are glaucoma, dry eye syndrome and cataracts. The drops that were used in my eyes should have never come close to them to let alone been put into them (Atropine). I am 52 years old and have a lot of living to do but I am scared too death with the damage that this drop has done in such a short period of time. My eyes were dilated for an extended period of time and with the sunlight getting into them like that with the eyes diseases I have it has caused me some real problems.
